Threads of Hope

Threads of Hope… Empowering Impoverished Women, Transforming Lives

Threads of Hope is passionate about life-changing economic development and micro-finance for disadvantaged women. Artisan handwork is the second largest income-generating sector in the developing world; so supporting the global sales of that handwork allows impoverished artists around the globe to create better lives for themselves and their families.

Threads of Hope facilitates the sale of exquisitely handcrafted textiles through our “Give Back Corps” 100+ volunteers from around the world who donate their expertise, host shows, or support the artisans. We are unique in that 100% of the profit* generated from textile sales is returned to participating artisans through The Hope Grant Fund for poverty alleviation in the areas of Education, Healthcare, Housing, and Small Business or Community Development.

We’re glad you’re here! Join us in this great work. Shop. Volunteer. Give. Make a difference.

*No funds from textile sales are used for overhead expenses. ToH fundraises to cover our overhead and any travel costs.

Unique works of art, exquisite in detail, vivid in color, expressing the heart of each artist – experience these    one-of-a-kind textiles that bring hope and joy to so many lives.

  • “I stood on a cobble road in front of an artist’s home and looked back at an imposing dirt hill. Many homes on that hill looked like weak plywood boxes. The artisan home I entered was very different than the boxes on the hill, it had concrete walls, a solid roof, electricity and running water. The joy and pride she had in showing us what she’d accomplished was heartfelt. That is when I really understood the difference Threads of Hope can make.” – Joleah, a ToH Supporter
  • “We are grateful for your help with this work. The truth is, its is a great deal of help. My husband and my son are very grateful for the textiles. We make them with much love. May God bless you. Kisses…” – Nancy
  • “We dedicate the textiles with much love, caring, and a big strong hug for all. Even though you are far away, you are in our hearts.” – a ToH Artisan
  • “Threads of Hope has maintained a core value, since its inception, of remaining open to God’s possibilities. To that end we are piloting a new work in another area-of-need in Peru. We have moved carefully and deliberately to honor the culture, and this project, remaining committed to poverty alleviation in the key areas of education, health care, housing, small business, and community development.” – ToH Staff
  • “I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my art so that I can support my children” – Reina
  • “I didn’t know that Jesus loved me until He fed my children.”
