Threads of Hope
Threads of Hope… Empowering Impoverished Women, Transforming Lives
Threads of Hope is passionate about life-changing economic development and microfinance for disadvantaged women. Artisan handwork is the second largest income-generating sector in the developing world, therefore, we seek to empower the artisans at that level in their lives. As we accomplish this goal, the women are able to build better lives for themselves and their families.
Threads of Hope facilitates the sale of the exquisitely handcrafted textiles through our “Give Back Corps,” 100+ volunteers from around the world who donate their time and expertise, hosting shows, support the artisans, or offering pro bona support.
We are unique in that 100% of the profit* generated from textile sales is returned to participating artisans through The Hope Grant Fund. Grants are made for poverty alleviation in the areas of Education, Healthcare, Housing, and Small Business or Community Development. We’re glad you’re here! Join us in this great work. Shop. Volunteer. Give. Make a difference.
*No funds from textile sales are used for overhead expenses. ToH fundraises to cover our overhead and any travel costs.
